Bryan vs. Dalton is like Batman vs. the Joker in a Gotham episode: we know it’s going to be hot, but we’re mostly hoping for a fight that delivers without too much collateral damage. Battle, the guy who looks like he’s playing chess with his opponent, and Rosta, the gunner aiming for the vital points. If Rosta misses his KO, we’ll at least get a tactical spectacle worthy of the best action movies. But beware, the PFL has a Jurassic Park vibe sometimes: predators can turn on their prey. Goltsov vs. Mezhiev is the old lion who has to prove he still has fangs. Mezhiev is the T-Rex coming out of hibernation. If Goltsov gets swept away, we’ll at least get a good disaster movie. Boylan vs. Ward is the battle of the hopefuls, like in Rocky but the MMA version. If one of them pulls it off, they’ll get a slow-mo victory scene. But in MMA, the music often comes too late.
