- Osmanov, undefeated in Muay Thai since 2025, faces a pure kickboxing specialist.
The ONE Fight Night 48, scheduled for October 2 in Bangkok, is shaping up to be one of the most exciting events of the year. Originally set to feature Denis Souza Jr., the card was upended by an injury, paving the way for an Asian duel between two athletes with complementary profiles but radically opposing styles: Russian Elbrus Osmanov, a Muay Thai specialist, and Chinese Yi Yuxuan, a pure kickboxing master.
This bout, taking place at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium, promises a technical showdown like no other. Osmanov, undefeated in Muay Thai since 2025, will need to show great adaptability to face Yi, an opponent with an impressive kickboxing record: 56 wins, including multiple national titles in China. A WLF and ISKA champion, Yi Yuxuan arrives with a reputation as a formidable technician, capable of dominating his opponents with precision and power.
A Bout with Strategic Stakes
For Osmanov, this fight is much more than just an opportunity. After years of shining in Muay Thai, this duel is a chance to prove his versatility and adaptability to a different style. Conversely, Yi Yuxuan sees this replacement as a golden opportunity to confirm his status on the international stage. With his 56 wins, he has nothing left to prove, but this fight could well be the springboard to even greater global recognition.
The Bangkok crowd, known for its demanding standards and passion for combat sports, is in for a unique spectacle. Between Yi’s precise punches and kicks and Osmanov’s elbow and knee techniques, this clash promises to be a technical fireworks display. Fans of kickboxing and Muay Thai can therefore expect an intense fight where every detail could make the difference.
