This Tuesday, the spotlight will be on Salhahuddin Everett, the UFC runner with an unconventional path, as he looks to fulfill his dream during Week 9 of Dana White's Contender Series. Standing across from him is Ozzy Martin, also undefeated, in a bout that promises to be explosive.
With a perfect professional record of 4-0 and a flawless amateur run (4-0), Everett has stood out for his deadly efficiency. All four of his professional fights have ended in the first round, a record that speaks volumes about his finisher profile. But what makes his journey even more fascinating is his experience within the UFC itself. As a runner, he has observed the inner workings of the organization firsthand—knowledge that could make all the difference if the brass offers him a contract.

A Journey Marked by Challenges and Determination

Everett hasn’t always had it easy. His path has been fraught with obstacles, but he’s bounced back with unmatched resilience. His current role within the UFC has not only allowed him to fund his training but also to immerse himself in MMA culture. This dual role—as both athlete and employee—makes him a unique candidate to join the organization’s ranks.
Across from him, the also-undefeated Ozzy Martin will provide stiff competition. This clash between two complementary profiles could very well be the springboard Everett needs to go pro full-time.

If Everett wins, he won’t just secure a contract—he’ll prove that an unconventional path can lead to the top of MMA.

Salhahuddin Everett, the guy who worked for the UFC while fighting? That’s wild, like an OSS117 agent doing intel and dirty tricks. His 4-0 pro record, all first-round finishes? That’s a real finisher, like Batman ending fights before the Joker even pulls out his club. Ozzy Martin is the Disney villain trying to slow him down, but with his UFC experience, Everett has seen how the real pros handle the pressure. If it goes as expected, we’ll have a future champion who learned the ropes from the inside. Stay tuned, like a Jurassic Park episode where the T-Rex is also a coach.
