Alex Pereira, former UFC middleweight and light heavyweight champion, has issued a bold challenge to submission specialist Valter Walker. The Brazilian is offering a sparring session in Las Vegas with a lucrative purse, but Walker has yet to respond.
To remember:
- Pereira offers Valter Walker a sparring session with a purse matching his last fight and a first-class flight from Russia.
- Walker, undefeated in his last five fights via submission, could take up the challenge to prove his skills.
- Pereira, despite his recent loss to Ciryl Gane, remains unshakably confident ahead of his fight against Pavlovich on December 12.
Alex Pereira, nicknamed Poatan, has once again made headlines by challenging Valter Walker to a sparring session. Walker, a submission specialist and undefeated in his last five fights thanks to his leg locks, had recently questioned Pereira’s abilities against Sergei Pavlovich. The Brazilian fired back with an offer as generous as it is provocative: a sparring session in Las Vegas, with a purse matching his last fight and a first-class flight from Russia.
This bold proposal is nothing short of audacious. Pereira, despite his recent loss to Ciryl Gane in his heavyweight debut, exudes unshakable confidence. His goal? To test his limits ahead of his showdown with Pavlovich, scheduled for December 12. But Walker has remained silent. The Russian’s lack of response leaves the question hanging: will he rise to the challenge and prove his technique against one of the UFC’s best strikers?
This hypothetical clash of styles—Pereira’s power versus Walker’s precision submissions—promises to be spectacular. If Walker accepts, this sparring session could become one of the most memorable moments in Pereira’s preparation for his fight against Pavlovich. One thing is certain: the UFC hasn’t heard the last of this budding rivalry!
As Pereira sharpens his tools for his bout against Pavlovich, the challenge to Walker remains unanswered. A response from him could upend the Brazilian’s preparations and give fans a unique spectacle. Stay tuned!
